About Vow Guide

Very demure. Very mindful. Very legal.

Vow Guide is the elevated, paperless marriage name change service built for newlyweds who want the process handled with the same intention they gave the rest of their wedding. We turn a fragmented, form-heavy legal chore into a single quiet sequence — from Social Security to your driver's license, passport, and every account underneath.

Why we exist

Changing your name after marriage touches more than fifty data inputs, in a specific legal order, with waiting periods baked into federal law. Most guides online are incomplete, outdated, or written for a pre-digital era. We built Vow Guide because our own name change took months longer than it should have — and we knew there was a calmer, more considered way.

Every step of Vow Guide is written and reviewed by our team of researchers who track the current requirements at the Social Security Administration, U.S. Department of State, and every state DMV. When federal or state guidance changes, so does our guide.

Our principles

  • Paperless by default. If an official online form exists, we route you there — never to a fax machine.
  • Sequence is protection. Every step is ordered around the legal waiting periods and dependencies most people learn about the hard way.
  • Privacy is not a feature. We never store your sensitive data. Inputs live in your secure session, then are deleted the moment your intake is complete.
